Hey. I'm Jose, the person who writes everything on this site. Not a team. Not a content department. Me.

If you want to reach me, here's how.

Questions About Espresso or Gear

If you're trying to figure out what to buy, how to dial in your machine, or you just read something here and have a follow-up — honestly, I'm happy to help. Drop me a message and I'll do my best to answer.

Fair warning: I'm also working full-time as a barista in Miami, so I don't always respond same-day. But I do read everything.

Corrections & Factual Errors

Found something wrong? Please tell me. Seriously.

I try hard to be accurate, and I flag anything I'm uncertain about with [NEEDS VERIFICATION] in my drafts. But I'm one person, and mistakes happen. If you have a correction — especially a technical one — send it with a source and I'll fix it fast.

Brand & PR Inquiries

If you're a coffee equipment brand or PR agency looking to work together, a few things upfront:

I don't do paid placements. I don't take money to write positive reviews. I don't have packages where you pay to be featured.

What I do: if you send me a machine or grinder I haven't used, and I have the time to actually pull shots on it and test it properly, I'll write an honest review. That means I'll say what's good and what's not. If that's not what you're looking for, we're probably not a good fit.

For affiliate partnerships, I work exclusively through Amazon Associates at this time.

I'm also sometimes on Reddit — you'll find me around r/espresso if you want to see what I'm actually talking about day to day.

Response time: usually within 3–5 business days. Faster if it's a correction.
