Frequently Asked Questions
Which brand makes the best home espresso machine?
Different brands win different price points. Breville for entry-level (Bambino), Gaggia for tinkerer-friendly mid (Classic Pro), Lelit for PID under $1,000, Profitec or Rocket for dual-boiler under $2,500. There is no single winner. It depends on price, features, and how much modding you want to do.
Are Italian espresso machines actually better?
Italian machines from Lelit, Rancilio, Profitec (German), and Rocket tend to have heavier build and longer service life than budget Asian thermoblock machines. But "Italian" is not a guarantee. DeLonghi makes some of the cheapest plastic super-autos in the market. The brand and the price point both matter.
